Maintenance Officer

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machines, tools, and systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment and machines

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and records to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Support the installation and commissioning of new machines or upgrades.

• Monitor equipment reliability and suggest improvements for efficiency and longevity.

• Ensure workplace safety standards and procedures are met during all maintenance activities.

• Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Collaborate with production teams, management and suppliers to develop and execute maintenance plans that meet organizational goals and priorities

• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics and procedures to support maintenance activities.

JOB SPECIFICATION (SKILLS / QUALITIES/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB)

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience in maintenance engineering (typically 2–5 years).

• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
