Position: VMC Operator

Job Summary:

Operate Vertical Machining Center machines for precision machining of graphite components.

‍

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures and machining strategies.

- Optimize cycle times while ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish

- Monitor the performance Of machines and processes, making adjustment as necessary

- Ensure compliance With quality standards and safety regulations

- Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and tooling before machining begins.

- Monitor machine operations during production runs to ensure quality and consistency.

- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.

- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure adherence to specifications.

- Make minor adjustments to machine programs and settings to improve quality and efficiency.

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Document production logs and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors

Qualifications & Skills:

- I.T.I or equivalent or Diploma; technical certification is a plus..

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating VMC machines in a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.

- Strong knowledge Of machine, tooling and setup procedures.

- Familiarity with quality control standards and measuring instruments.

- Basic understanding of G-code and M-code programming (preferred but not mandatory).

- Good attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.

- Familiarity With CNC machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
